Making a switch?
Breakfast: Honey Sunshine cereal, & a bunch of grapes
I also drank some warm mint tea. Warmed me up :)
Question: While I love blogspot, I am pondering moving my blog to a wordpress (?) one. They have the W sign if you are wondering. I just love those blogs, like Sharon, and Andrea/Erin's as well. I love the tabs at the top, like for oatmeal, recipes, etc. What do you all think? It wouldn't be a huge deal, because nothing would really change. What do you think???

Hello fellow bloggers :) Hope your Sunday's have gone well. I think the blogger "consensus" is that Sundays are the best day of the week. I happen to especially like Fridays and Saturdays, but Sundays aren't bad at all! Having yoga on Sundays just makes it extra special!
My reason for titling this post FLAT-OUT amazing is because I had not one, but two flat-outs today. A garden spinach one with lunch, and another harvest wheat with flax seeds for dinner. I was going to have something else, but I was craving the sweet honey ham+provolone combo. And you gotta listen when that craving comes along! Mmm...
I went to the grocery store and here's some pics of what we got. I am not going to give a list to y'all because we pretty much got the normal stuff. I am having two special dinners this week, but more info on that later. Here ya go! One thing that I have not gotten and cannot wait to try on oatmeal is Berry Almond Granola. Yum!
FOODIES!
Breakfast: two eggs on toast, apple (sliced), organic PB
Lunch: garden spinach flat-out with spinach, hummus, and provolone, kashi crackers, and a granny smith apple
Snacks: some apricots... kashi honey almond flax-seed cereal, with plain yogurt (I should have chosen the strawberry yogurt, plain wasn't sweet enough)
Dinner: harvest wheat flat-out with honey ham, and provolone. I also had some
grapes, and an apple
Snacks: nothing yet! About to go grab some more kashi crackers and hummus though! :)
I went to yoga today and it was a great, challenging class! It's focus was primarily on balance. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical beforehand as well. Everything is feeling really good!
Night night lovies!

OH HAPPY DAY! :D
Hey girlies! Ahhh, I am in such a happy mood right now. As you all know, this week I just wasn’t myself. I am usually outgoing, happy, but I lost my spark for a little bit. Nothing that wasn’t fixable though. I am flying high right now after this fantastically fun day!
My eats are really weird today. I went to a party from 2- ~6, so I did a good amount of snacking, and never had a real dinner. Weird eats, but still yummy eats! I didn’t take pictures of anything but breakfast and the snacks I just had, oops!
So about the party, it was a birthday party for two of my best friends-they are twins (girls). We ran all around their neighborhood (literally), went to a playground, a lake, and fooled around with a football in the backyard. Non-stop fun! I really enjoyed hanging out with my friends. Here’s how my schedule today went:
Woke up ~9-make oatmeal…Off to gym for an hour and 10 minutes (11:30)…get home, shower, get ready…friend gets dropped off…go to pick out friends’ gifts…grab lunch…come home…wait to be picked up by the BF…go to party…come home, hang out with BF while watching UNC WIN…take him home…come home and snack…HERE I AM! :D
Goodness, not enough time to breathe! But I wouldn’t change anything :)
Foodies! (I love windows live [writer]!! thanks to burp and slurp!)
Breakfast: Oatmeal made like so:
- 1/2 cup oats, 2/3 cup water, splash of cream (all out of milk)
- banana
- brown sugar & cinnamon
- chocolate chips

This bowl was super yum! I also had a very tasty Clementine.
Lunch: Subway after shopping! I had a six inch sweet onion terriaki (chicken) on wheat topped with:
- spinach, green pepper, lettuce, tomato, black olives, cucumber, oregano, provolone, salt and pepper, and the sweet and sour sauce
Snacks: an apple, and lots of pretzels/chips with salsa at the party, plus some all natural choc. ice cream…
Dinner: Organic PB sandwich and an apple during game
Snacks: MORE all natural ice…ahh, I love my ice cream! and I just had an apple as well… :)![]()
Well girlies, have a wonderful night! Off to watch more basketball!!! <3

Loves Her Girlz
Hey all! First off, I just wanted to say thanks SO much for all the meaningful comment y'all left for me. It really made me feel a ton better. I love you all!
My week has been stressful and complicated. Luckily, it's mostly due to school issues, and not so much ED related screw-ups. Only thing is is that I have been downsizing my breakfast. It's like all of the sudden, I am becoming very controlling over breakfast. It's quite odd actually. I thought I had this all figured out. Frustrating too. Uhh! But I am back to my oatmeal tomorrow and am really, really looking forward to it. Like REALLY looking forward to it. Hehehe...I love my oatmeal!
So, here's the days recaps. :)
Wednesday: Overall an okay day, I actually cannot remember a whole bunch. Is that a good thing? Well, anyways, FOODIES!

![]()
Lunch: Organic PB sandwich, veggie chips, and an apple & a clementine
Snacks: Kashi bar with PB, an apple, and dried apricots (multiply that pic times 5!) ![]()

Dinner: Philly Cheese-steaks (whole wheat bread, roast beef, and veggies with cheese that I just could not stomach.) I got home late from the gym, and they were not fresh. I just ate the sammy without them. It was pretty good! I also had a clemmy for some color.
Snacks (that I remember and took pics of): ben and jerry's ice cream
Thursday: FOODIES!
Breakfast: Two eggs on two pieces toast (one with yolk, one hard), an apple, and some PB (a good breakfast, YAY!)![]()
Lunch: garden spinach wrap with hummus, ham, provolone, and spinach, pretzels, & an apple
Snacks: kashi pumpkin pie bar, an apple, and some more PB <3
Dinner: pork chops with cinnamon apples (match made in heaven), and egg noodles
Snacks: Pretzels with PB, clementines, and ??? Tehe :)
Friday: TGIF!!! All day I was like, how much more time till the bell, how much time, how much time now? Haha, when the bell rang it was like the most glorious noise ever. After school, I came home and did Power Vinyasa Flow #3. I also did ~ 20 minutes of Gentle Hatha to stretch my body out. It. felt. amazing.
Breakfast: Honey Sunshine cereal, and a Clementine
Lunch: Organic PB sammy, pretzels, and two Clementines and an apple my friend didn't want...
Snacks: kashi pumpkin pie bar, a string cheese, and PB
Dinner: We went over to my grandparents house and they had prepared lots of wonderful foodies including make your own subs, using cold cuts (ham, chicken, salami), cheeses (provolone, American, and Swiss), oil and vinegar, green pepper, tomato. They also had strawberries, pretzels with a honey mustard dip, chips, nuts, and amazing pickles. I had a plate of a sub made with a little oil/vinegar, provolone, ham/chicken, salt and pepper, green pepper/tomato, all on wonderful fresh white bread. You got to live a little. There's nothing wrong with a good quality white bread ever so often. :)
Snacks: (so far!) an apple, and the remaining cookies and cream ice cream
Night night girlies!! Love you all!!

Question: If I wanted to add a tab on my blog like say, "oatmeal" how would I go about? Lots of you all have a space where if you click it takes you to a page of say oatmeal pics, recipes, and sandwich ideas. I want to do that.

Strictly the EATS!
Hey there! I really don’t have much to say, other than the fact that I had a wonderful yoga class tonight. It went great. There wasn’t really one focus, so it incorporated lots of different muscle groups. I am in love with eagle pose! Flying eagle (?) is even better! What’s your favorite pose?
Foodies :)
Breakfast: Maple and Brown Sugar Granola, and a granny smith! ![]()
Lunch: organic PB sammy, pretzels, organic apple, and a Clementine
Snacks: kashi pumpkin pie bar, some un-pictured PB (taste test of the new Natural I got-it passed!), another apple, and some dark choc. to tide me over until dinner (I was a HUNGRY girl and without that dark choc. I don’t know if I would have made it, haha!)

Super Quick Post!
Hey girlies! Well, here’s the two snacks I have had to far. Oh, my family and I went to a store, and I picked up Shape. Yay! I cannot wait to dive in. Have a lovely night everyone!
<3 jess :)
Yet another smoothie day!
Hello girlies! My day today has been very productive. I cleaned out by entire closet, under by bed, did my homework, and made it to the gym. By the way, I did reg. warm up, then 25 min. precor trainer (a different one than usual), 15 min. stat. biking, and then arm/ab work followed by a wonderful stretch. Woo-hoo!
Now it’s time for FOODIES!!
Breakfast: a lovely bowl of oats oatmeal:
- 1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup milk
- a banana
- 3 dried apricots
- dark chocolate chips
- organic PB (it got all melty..mmm!)

Lunch: Remember that I got spinach yesterday at the grocery store as well as garden spinach flat out wraps? Well, I was super duper excited to use them today for lunch! I had roast beef, provolone, hummus, and a good handful of spinach all wrapped up in the garden spinach flat-out. It was…INCREDIBLE!! I enjoyed every last bite of it. Even down to the last pretzel. I kind of took-after copied Sharon with the organization of lunch. I am such a copycat, hehe. I also had a clementine, apple, and pretzels!![]()
![]()
Snacks: After arriving home from the gym, I knew I wanted a smoothie. And the mango I had brought yesterday was already ripe (lucky me!), so I searched the internet and found a great mango smoothie recipe here. (thank u kiki.. ;) )It turned out divine. The good eats just keep on coming, don’t they?
![]()
While reading Burp and Slurp’s post, I was interested by this whole “Windows Live” thing. So, I searched on the ever-helpful Google, and decided to download it. I am loving it! It’s making this posting so much easier. Thanks girl!
Well, my day’s gone well. And I hope you all’s days have too! Be back later!

Sunday!!
I finally decided to make some tea-infused oats! And, they were delicious! I used an orange-tangerine zinger tea and it turned out quite tasty. Here's what my oatmeal contained:
- 1/3 cup oats, 2/3 cup tea (hot water with tea bag)
- banana
- dark choc. chips and some true north nuts
- smuckers natural PB
Lunch was the same as yesterday, well kinda. I had the flatout wrap with honey ham and provolone, but had kashi crackers and pretzels. Sorry if the ham looks purple like yesterdays! Kiki pointed that out to me. Haha :)
Then we were off to the grocery store! I didn't take any pics of the foodies, but you will be seeing many, many of them this week! Here's the basics that will hopefully interest you!
- Produce: apples (lots!), bananas, a mango, blueberries, and clementines
- Fridge: garden spinach flat out wraps (!!!), stoneyfield organic strawberry yogurt, string cheeses, more provolone, fresh (pre-washed, in a bag, ready to go wohoo!) SPINACH, and yet more yogurts
- Pantry: New Natural PB (I think it's by Jiff or Peter Pan, but I saw that it's natural and it was on sale for two dollars!), organic PB (just had some!!), dried apricots, pumpkin pie kashi bars, dark chocolate, and veggie chips/pretzels
- Freezer: All natural cookies and cream ice cream, all natural choc/vanilla ice cream, Ben and Jerry's Half Baked (FROYO!)
- 3 min. stat. bike
- 40 min. elliptical
- leg work (hip abduction, calves, hamstrings, quads, and butt)
- ab work
- foam roller and stretching
When I got home, I was hankering (?!) for a smoothie. I whipped out my magic blender and made myself a lovely Berry Smoothie. I threw in some strawberry yogurt, blueberries, 1/2 a banana, blackberries (frozen), and raspberries (frozen). It was really good and it made me feel good to drink. In my first attempt I put in some Vanilla Protein Powder, but the vanilla was way too overpowering and I just left it out.
The rest of my night included some yummy eats (greek pizza!) and some MORE fun with the BF. My brothers also made me crack up tonight. Gosh, I love my family. Have a lovely night everyone!

Detox Yoga!
But before that, I attempted to make the recipe previously mentioned. It turned out pretty good, esp. considering that I didn't have any egg substitute and I didn't follow the recipe strictly enough. I think it would have been really good if I had. Haha :)
Snacks so far tonight have included dark choc. PB + pretzels, yogurt, a kashi bar, and the last of the dried prunes.
Okay, I better be off! I need some more R & R. As if I haven't had enough ;) Night!
<3 jess :)
xxx
I stole Jenny's lunch!
- 1 harvest wheat flat out wrap
- smoked honey ham
- 1.5 pieces of provolone cheese
I hit the gym not long after my first post. Before leaving I grabbed a couple dried prunes and milk. I went with my dad too which made it super fun :) I did:
- reg. warm up
- 20 minutes biking (~7 miles)
- 10 min. precor (wave) trainer
- 10 min. stat. bike
- a good amount of arm and ab work
- stretching
I am off to hopefully go do some lovely yoga to "cool off." But first, I am gonna go try and make this snack that I saw on Jenny's blog today as well. Hehe...yoga will get done at some time today :) and then we're off to the grocery store! Have a wonderful afternoon ladies! This day has been nothing but rain and clouds. Hope it's brighter for you!

Diet Coke
Fridays' foodies!
Breakfast: honey sunshine with a lovely banana
Lunch: (no pic, same as day before!!) cinnamon raisin PB sammy, pretzels, and an apple/clementine

Snacks: yo+ yogurt, and the rest of the cinnamon PB jar
Dinner: two slices of veggie pizza
Snacks: the last bits of the cookie dough ice cream, and others that I cannot seem to remember!
Saturdays' foodies!
Breakfast: oatmeal consisting of:
- 1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup milk
- brown sugar and cinnamon
- square of natural dark choc. cut into little pieces
- true north nuts
- smuckers natural PB
Okay, now onto Title of this post. I don't know about you, but I just hate yucky preservatives and additives and things like that. During my worst times, I drank diet soda a lot. It filled me up with virtually no calories. I now only have a diet soda once, maybe twice (not usually) a week. I would really like to stop drinking them completely. Now, I do not think they are gonna kill you, or harm you in any way if you have one here and there. But for me, I feel that this habit is something I need to break. I really enjoy drinking water vs. soda. It makes me feel much better and healthier. I think sometimes that the main reason I have a diet soda is becuase I want something that will fill me up without any calories. That is clearly an unhealthy attitude and is one of the reasons that I find this habit as a "got to go" one. I had one yesterday and took pics of the ingredients. It was a really interesting list! I really hope I didn't offend anyone by what I have said. I certainly don't look down on anyone who drinks it on a daily basis!!! I love you all no matter what :)
So, what's your take on diet soda? If you drink it, do you drink it for the reason that I do it or do you enjoy it? I would love to hear all your thoughts. I am sure they will be amazing :)
Love you all!!!

P.S I will be back later today. When my dad gets home, we are off to the gym and probably going to get/look at new phones. Mine accidentally went through the wash :-/

Quickie Post!
As just mentioned, I just arrived home, from the gym. (it's getting LATE! It's almost ten, hence the littleness of the post)I came home from school, chilled for a bit, left for grandparents' house, ate dinner on the way, went to the gym on the way back, and now, here I am! My workout was shorter than usual but to the point:

- arm work
- foam roller & stretching
Foodies!!

Snacks: apple, cinnamon raisin PB, and an un-pictured yogurt
Dinner (eaten in car): grilled chicken sandwich with tomato and lettuce, fruit cup and some water/diet coke (only drank half...gave the rest to dad)

Night night and sorry for the short post!!

Tuesday=YOGA day!
I had yoga tonight and it was, like always, a great class! The focus was on stretching out the lower body (also strengthening) and I am feeling great! I always leave feeling more productive, happy, stronger, flexible (the list goes on and on) than when I came in. I just adore yoga!
Oh, and before yoga I did 20 minutes on the elliptical. :)
Foodies!!!
Breakfast: Organic Cinnamon Crunch Cereal w/ milk, and a banana
- Not a lot I know, but I was really trying to listen to myself, and I was satisfied and didn't want anything else this morning. My mistake was not bringing something to snack on 3rd period for when I did start to get hungry...
Snacks: a delicious pear, yogurt, and some apples w/ a little bit of PB (un-pictured unfortunately)
Dinner: My mom was so sweet, and made a really nice dinner for my family! She made a whole chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, stuffing, homemade gravy, and it was just so yummy and lovely. Thanks mom! I owe you one :)
Snacks (so far): the rest of my Skippy natural PB, and some black cherry frozen yogurt! (very good)
Hope everyone's night is a fabulous one! But first, an oatmeal question!
- I have been seeing a lot of oatmeal being cooked in tea/tea bags or "flavored water" I guess you could say (teehee). And I am really interested in that. Do you do that regularly? Have you ever done that? How does it turn out. It sounds good, but I'm just afraid that it would be too overpowering. I think I will try it soon! Lemon sounds especially intriguing.. :D

Odd Day!
My day was going okay until lunch. I had brought a lean cuisine meal to heat up in the microwave, but I dropped it outside while walking towards the table. Uggghhh!!! Luckily I had brought an apple too. A friend gave me some rice snacks. So, my lunch was rice cakes and an apple. Oh gosh! I was cranky and starving by the end of the day. After school I immediately grabbed a yogurt and a clementine that my mom gave me. I also had a couple handfuls of smart-pop. I was then off to the gym! I did:
- reg. warm up on stat. bike
- 40 min. elliptical
- lots of leg work (since I had the extra time!) , inc. hamstrings, quads, butt, hip abductors, and calves work
- foam roller and stretching
The rest of my day has been, like mentioned, amazingly fun! I am off to go hang out some more then hitting the hay early (hopefully). Hope ya'lls days were fabulous as well and as always, included some yummy foodsss :D
Speaking of foods, here's mine!
Breakfast: bowl of Kashi honey sunshine, a clementine, and a string cheese
Lunch: nuff' said x-(
Snacks: (I included the snacks right after school as part of lunch!) kashi bar with PB, and an un-pictured apple
Dinner: tacos...flat out wrap, inside was meat, tomatoes, hard shell (for CRUNCH), refried beans, sour cream, cheese, and some salsa. It was really good! Flat-outs are so delicious and easy! I also had a piece of dark chocolate a little later. Needed something sweet! (Beware, awk. pic of choc. with my thumb...lol lighting wasn't working with me! Goodness, I really need a manicure, make that a pedicure too since the sandals are coming out again!!)
Snacks: Ben and Jerry's Froyo, apple...this is just so far though :)
Night night lovies!

Unbelievably Tired...
Breakfast: OATMEAL! It contained:
- 1/2 cup oats, water, milk
- a banana and five prunes
- cinnamon/brown sugar
- Natural PB
Lunch was a grilled cheese sammy, pretzels, yogurt, and an apple. Kept me full and satisfied for a while :) (Btw, sorry about the lack of quality on the first two...that's odd, I guess I didn't let it focus or something...)
Snacks consisted of an apple, and a yogurt with blueberries. Oh, and an un-pictured string cheese. Protein packed snacks are amazing!
Dinner was made courtesy of my mom. She made homemade pizza. I had the veggie one (green peppers & tomato & feta). Delish and all the kids loved it! I let them sprinkle the cheese :)
The kids left about 45 minutes ago and they left me HUNGRY! I have been snacking on some Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie Froyo (hehe Sharon! ;)..) and an incredibly juicy clementine. I bet many yummy snacks will soon follow :)
Hope everyone's day was amazing and that everyone got everything accomplished. I have two tests tomorrow, and I also have some hw I needed to do, but I forgot the book for the reading. Oh well...I''ll do it before school tomorrow I suppose. It won't kill me, haha.
Night night! Sweet dreams x2!

WHAT A FUN NIGHT!!!
FOODS!
Although my brother lost his soccer game, I still enjoyed it! I love watching him play soccer. He'll be really good when he grows up. After the game, I went to the gym for a great workout! I did:
- normal warm up
- 40 minutes biking (~13 miles)
- arm work (biceps, triceps, shoulders)
- foam roller+stretchinggg
I also had some PB and another apple for a snack later.
While "partying," there was lots of veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, red pepper, cucumber, and carrots & celery) and I definitely took advantage of it. I ate like all the cauliflower (love it!). I also had a few pretzels with spinach & artichoke dip, which was amazing. Dinner was grilled pineapple, grilled chicken, and some more veggies. Later, during the movie, I had a little treat. It was like a chocolate/truffle, but the inside was filled with an oreo filling and the outside was like...white chocolate with sprinkles? And you know what, it was so yummy, and I enjoyed it. EVERY SINGLE BITE :D
It's getting late, but I am NOT going to sleep any time soon. I am too hyped up and the BF's due to call soon. What a sweet guy :) Night girls!

Good morning!
Breakfast was really good! I made mango oats! I just substituted mango for the bananas I usually do. I ate a whole mango this morning. YUM! One of my favorite fruits :D Here's what's in the bowl:This was a really delish bowl of oatmeal. I still prefer the bananas, but I will definitely be using mangoes again!
Have a lovely morning everybody. Hopefully after the game I can get a work out in before heading over to my friends' house for a GIRLS NIGHT! Haha, love you all!

Happy FRIDAY!
By the way, sorry for the late post! The BF came over for a while and we had an amazing time together. We watched CSI: Miami. Anyone else like that show? It's so addicting. Anyways...My day was really good! I had a huge logic test, but I think that I did really well! I studied, so I think I aced it. I love logic! It's like no type of class I have taken before. It's different, and that's one of the many reasons why I love it! Hearing the bell ring at the end of the day and "racing" down the hall is such a highlight of my day. It's no longer cold here! At least, it's supposed to stay warm from now on. It was in the 60's today (I think). And it felt marvelous... :) Bring on spring then summer!
After school, I went to the gym for yet another fabulous workout. I did:
- reg. warm up
- 15 min. elliptical
- 25 min. squirreliptical
- leg (hamstring, calves, glutes, butt, and hip abductors) work
- foam roller/stretchinggg
Foodies for today!
Breakfast: Maple Brown Sugar Granola w/ milk, and a granny smith apple. I had forgotten how good this granola is!
P.S I have a very special bowl of oatmeal planned for tomorrow with the prime ingredient being... MANGO! Can't wait :D
Lunch: Cinnamon Raisin PB sammy, kashi crackers, and an apple
Snacks: soft baked kashi bar (at school, no pic), and then some PB & another apple after the gym
Dinner: Kashi Frozen Entree (no pic, the BF was over, and the fam was eating together), an apple, and some yogurt
Snacks: all natural cookies & cream ice cream, kashi crackers with hummus, prunes/PB, and copious amounts of fruit trailmix (how do you say, addicting!!!)
Have a GLORIOUS night everyone!

Why Hello There :)
Wednesday Re-cap: Overall, a good day. I haven't had much homework this week, so I just came home, relaxed for a bit, and cleaned our kitchen until my mom arrived home. (she had a meeting) Then she preceded to take me to the gym. I love my mom...While there I did the typical warm up, 40 minutes on the elliptical, and lots of leg (hamstring, calves, and hip abductors) work. It was a really awesome workout! Eats wise, also a yummy day. Normal, but yummy. Here's the pics I managed to take. Mmm... :)
So far, today's been a good day too. It feels so much like friday! It's driving me crazy...My school has this "talent show" tonight. It's not really a talent show though because no one wins. Lots of peole just show what their talent is I guess the best way to put it haha. Hence the early-ish post. I am off to go practice some basketball and maybe do some yoga, but first, today's eats! *so far*
Breakfast today was really, really YUM! I had a whole wheat eng. muffin spread with Skippy Natural PB (creamy) and mango! I also had a glass of milk on the side. Started my day off great!
Lunch was a lean cuisine, and a big apple. I have no idea why I thought this would fill me up, but I did. I was pretty satisfied after lunch, but like an hour later I was like, ahh! need food! Haha, next time I will add something for sure...
I just arrived home and had an apple. Off for a few more little snackies!
Lotsa love <33

100th POST!
Picking up right where I left off with..LUNCH! For lunch I had the rest of the Japanese Terriaki Bowl from Pei Wei's. Again, amazing! I also had a few pieces of my mom's chicken that she didn't finish. All served in a cute, green bowl. Perfect! I also had it with an organic apple. Yum!
I was expecting to go to the gym not long after lunch, but it turned out that my family wasn't ready and that we wouldn't be leaving for an additional 30-ish minutes. So I decided to do Solar Flow. I saw this on Kath's blog this morning and decided I'd give it a try. I really enjoyed it! Lots of down-dogs, and warrior 1/2/3's. Lovely :)
After yoga, I was off to the gym. My workout was short and since I didn't have the usual extra thirty minutes, I didn't do any strength training today. Just cardio, which felt really nice.
- 3 min. warm up on stat. bike
- 20 min. elliptical
- 20 min. precor trainer
- 12 min. [norm.] biking (~4 miles)
- quick stretch
Dinner was DELISH! My mom made brocolli cheese soup. (in the crockpot-it made the house smell amazing all day!) It was served with some multi grain bread that I might try and use for something in the future. Maybe french toast?! Yum, I hope so :)
All in all, an amazing day off! I hope it was an even more amazing day for you all! Have a wonderful, warm night. Off to go eat some snacksss! Night!

Well, this morning I awoke to some glorious, glorious snow. It's so beautiful! I walked around snapping a few pictures before making Whipped Banana Oatmeal. (Thanks Kath-you're amazing!) This was so incredible. By far, the best oatmeal I have ever had. I have always wanted to make it ever since I came across her lovely blog. It's so simple too. Here's the post about how to make it and all. I topped it with 1/5 of a Chocolate Chip Cliff bar, some chocolate chips, brown sugar+cinnamon, and some creamy PB. BEST. BOWL. EVER. The consistency of the whipped oatmeal was spectacular and I was practically drooling over this oatmeal. This is now my regular base. YAY! I suggest everyone try it.
After breakfast, I cleaned up the kitchen and have been talking on the phone for a little while. I doubt I will make it to the gym today, but I am for sure going to do lots of yoga. Yoga+oatmeal+snow=what a day! Have a wonderful afternoon everyone :)

A Lovely, Late Dinner
All in all, I had a really good day! It included oatmeal, yoga, and a delicious dinner. What else could a girl ask for? Oh yeah...I would have loved to meet up with the BF today. Sigh, I miss him. Other than that though, it was a very nice day!
As I mentioned, it all started off with a delectable bowl of oats. I wanted something simple, and not with a lot of topping, so here's what I had! I went a tad bit picture crazy with the oatmeal...hehe :D
- 1/2 cup oats, water, milk
- banana, dried prunes (cut into fourths)
- cinnamon, brown sugar
- half Smuckers Natural PB and half Dark Choc. PB
Lunch was eaten relatively fast because I wanted to get to the gym. I had crunchy PB with blackberry jelly on half of it on honey wheat bread. I also had some kashi crackers. Yum! I wanted an apple, but decided to just save it for after the gym. I am "counting" it as part of lunch.
At the gym I did:
- 3 min. stat. bike as warm up
- 32 min. biking (a little over 10 miles) <-- this felt amazing! I love biking but haven't been doing much of it lately. I am finally getting back into it!
- 10 min. stat. bike
- lots of ab work
- arm work (specifically work on triceps, biceps, shoulders, and "back")
- foam roller (I end every workout on that thing! It's a lifesaver! It's like that hurts but feels so good kinda thing)
- 10 min. stat. biking while waiting for my dad (turned out he would be later than I thought)
- stretchinggg...ahh!
I also did some yoga later on after snacking and watching some basketball. I did Power Vinyasa Flow #4. I purchased this class because I had loved the same one (#3) and I mean LOVED that one. This one though, wasn't my favorite. I will def. do it again, but it won't be my favorite. It still made me feel amazing :D
Snacks included some dried prunes+PB. Yummm...
Now dinner was amazing! We went to this place called Pei Wei. It's like an Asian dinner, with a multitude of healthy options. You can get your "meal" with brown or white rice, opt for veggies and tofu instead of beef or chicken, and they include a multitude of veggies in each dish. I decided on the Japanese Terriaki Bowl. It's described as: "This traditional Japanese sauce is a sweet soy glaze that is topped with onion, Napa cabbage, carrots, spinach, scallions, and finished with toasted sesame seeds and served on white or brown rice." I had the chicken. It. was. amazing. I brought the rest home in a take outbox. I didn't finish it all, but I am going to have the rest for lunch. Score! Here's the pics! The darker chicken off to the side were my mom's. She threw them in after she finished her meal. Hers are very spicy. Yum! I also had a fortune cookie. Here's my "fortune" as well..in pic form!
Snacks tonight (so far): #1: Ben and Jerry's and an apple
#2: Fiber Right Cereal with warmed milk and dark choc. PB
#3: who knows???! :D
Have a lovely night! I will be hopefully awaiting snow not long from now. They are calling for 4-6 inches and I do not want school tomorrow. It had better snow or someone's gonna be angry! Haha, have a great night lovies :)
